We're in the 2006 FIFA World Cup!
We, as in the Australian soccer team.
It was a match that, leading into it, we couldn't really win, but there was always hope.
In the end, it came down to a thrilling penalty shootout.
I'm not a big soccer fan. But this is really something special. Even the commentators were losing it when that final goal landed.
This will be our first appearance at a World Cup in over 30 years.
